What is a wireless talkback system used for?
It keeps your stage manager, director, DP and crew on one live line during a shoot or show, so nobody has to shout across the set or the venue. Everyone wears a light headset and hears the others instantly.
How many crew members can use one system?
Our Hollyland Solidcom sets handle full-duplex talk for 8 or more crew members on one base, and we can add headsets for bigger teams.
Is it full-duplex, like a real conversation?
Yes, it's full-duplex. Several people can speak and listen at the same time, unlike a walkie talkie where you have to wait your turn.
What is the operating range?
Around 350 metres with a clear line of sight. That covers most stages, sets and banquet halls; indoors, walls and floors will cut it down.
What is the minimum rental period?
Single events can be booked for half a day or a full day. Multi-day shoots get a discounted per-day rate.
Do you provide a technician for setup?
Yes. Our team sets up and tests the base station and every headset before you begin, and gives your crew a quick briefing.
Is a security deposit required?
There's a refundable deposit on talkback systems, returned in full after we check the equipment on return.
